The little songs they sing, their smiles,
their tappin' toes, the excitement
they show on recital day. . .

"Miss" Miranda Werner began her love for dance at the early age of three.  She continued dancing throughout her elementary years and later took much more advanced classes in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop and also began assistant teaching during her high school years.  Her love for dance
took her to some amazing places like performing in the 1998 San Diego Super Bowl, auditioning and making the "Dance Caravan" touring group, and being selected to choreograph for many school plays and activities, amongst others.  After four vigorous years of study at the prestigious California State University Long Beach Dance Department, she graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Dance.  After graduation, Miranda moved back home to San Diego and began her teaching career at studios such as "Diane's School of Dance" in Alpine, "East County School of Dance" in La Mesa, "California School of Ballet" in San Diego, "San Diego School of Ballet" in San Diego, and "Coronado Academy of Dance" in Coronado.  After teaching in studios for more than three years, Miranda has now started her own dance company, "L I T T L E   S T A R S", a dance program that takes her love for dance into local preschools and elementary schools.  "Miss" Miranda takes pride in teaching dance to all ages and technique levels, as dance has always been her life long devotion.

“Miss” Charlene began dancing at the age of five in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, taking hula, tap, cheerleading, and ballet lessons.  After moving back to San Diego at the age of 8, she began focusing strictly on classical ballet, taking classes at the New West Ballet School under the direction of California Ballet Company alum, Eugenia Keefer.  In high school, she was a member of the Varsity Cheer Squad and named “All Star” by the United Cheerleaders Association (UCA).  She attended California State University, San Macos, and was a member of the CSUSM women’s dance team.  Charlene continues to dance and perform today, as an advanced ballet dancer with the New West Ballet Theater.  Her highlighted roles include the Spanish Chocolate, Merliton, Snow Corps, and Waltz of the Flowers corps in the Nutcracker, the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, the Firebird in Firebird, and Pas De Quatre in Giselle.  In addition she has been teaching dance and working with children for over two years.  She has enjoyed teaching at the New West Ballet School, in after school enrichment programs at elementary schools, and in recreation/community centers throughout North County San Diego.  She has always loved working with and being around children.
